DAY 7 - FREDERIKSBORG CASTLE AND FAREWELL DINNER

Today's journey takes you north of Copenhagen into the green rolling countryside of North Zealand, to one of the most spectacular castles in all of Scandinavia. Frederiksborg Castle rises from a mirror-still lake in the town of Hillerod, its red brick towers and copper spires reflected perfectly in the water below. Inside, the castle houses the Museum of National History, where gilded halls, grand portrait galleries, and intricately woven tapestries tell the story of 400 years of Danish kings and queens. Wander through the baroque gardens and the cobblestone town before enjoying lunch in one of Hillerod's charming local spots.
